I have a foster with a URI and he is eating very little. He is very active and playful so I know he feels fine. His URI is mild but he does still have some congestion. I'm guessing that he isn't real food motivated to begin with and now maybe can't smell the food very well because of the congestion so just isn't interested in eating. He is eating a little bit but just not enough. He'll take a bite or two then stop. He won't eat dry food at all.
I thought any fishy food would be stinky but I opened one that I had in the pantry and it didn't have hardly any smell at all.
I tried baby food. He licked up a couple of teaspoons then stopped.
I really don't want to have to force feed him but he isn't getting enough nutrition with how little he is eating. Assuming the problem is that he can't smell the food I'm hoping to find something extra stinky that he'll be interested in.
So, what is the stinkiest canned cat food you know of????
