@allenkm, oh Bear, but certainly that must have some sort of sign

Oh yes, I do believe everyone is correct thinking this is a message from Bear. Not sure it's that Bear wants you to bring a dog home though, more likely wanting edible cat food in the raidable bags you leave out in future not nasty doggy stuff.Came home to a nice surprise today,
I have been thinking of rescuing a dog so I have all these dog supplies at my house. They have been there for over a week. Today I walked in and there were dog treats everywhere, because Bear ripped open all the bags and spread them around the house. He didn't eat any just made a big mess.
I can always tell what cat is responsible to, parental instinct I guess....
For such a small brain, they sure evade the mouse traps I set out under the sinks and cupboards....lol. I put cheese, meat, peanut butter, bread, and even tried chocolate....but those mice always eat the food and the trap does not SPRING. My neighbour has caught two in her traps, and one decided to jump into a bucket of laundry water and poor guy drowned. My senior cat of 14yrs old came out of retirement and did catch two. But since this winter has been harsh and cold, I know there will be more.Maybe they have a desire to end their days for what ever the reason?I always wondered why mice actually even enter a house that has a cat? Do they not smell the cat? Are they just trying to get caught?
It could of course be also that they are bit over confident about their abilities to hide or that no mouse has escaped from the cat and managed to pass information of that encounter to later generations.
Of course mouse has quite small brain, maybe they just are not smart enough, like a mosquito that keeps coming no matter how many times they almost get killed.
So many unknowns in this world, so much to learn
......
Wonderful map, that Road Less Traveled seems much nicer route, one gets to see the great forests too with that route!
I believe it was catbehaviours, my laptop battery konked but when I got back it was posted.Well, we are not far off 1000 posts now. We need just over 100 posts now before midnight tomorrow to do it.
Who made post 750 to win the prize ???
Am I living under a rock or something??
I have caught one earlier with piece of mandarin orange (name of fruit as wikipedia tells me).For such a small brain, they sure evade the mouse traps I set out under the sinks and cupboards....lol. I like the theory that they cannot pass their information of escape to future generations....lol.
Yes, the photo worked now. Such a beautiful black cat. There is something extra special for me and black cats, they move without anyone seeing them in the night, and my young cat who passed on, looked as handsome as yours, but was extremely gentle and smart. He did not meow but squeaked. :kitty2:
My old RB cat used to get into the dog treats; the biscuit bone style, and eat them. Or she did at least once anyway!Came home to a nice surprise today,

Hmm.... Writing children's books has always sounded like a lot of fun! Getting them published is probably the hardest part. I think I'd stick to illustrating by hand; not with paint.
LOL.....Is there a BRIDGE across the ocean in your map?? Or is that some type of super ferry boat.?..LOL
I love "the road less travelled".....and the "yellow brick road" is a short cut.
You will have to start writing children's books, if you have the time between tantrums.
I was going to tell you about the nickname one of my friends had for me when we were teenagers. I decided that isn't the smartest thing. I'd rather have been called a Gem!
There was me assuming there was a cat called Gem, or Gems in your life somewhere GemsGem! My boy's fur-mom is known as Jems.Your friends give you nice nick names, I'm not sure mine would.I'm not sure I want to ask them either.....
Okay, yes I will try to tie my food to it so that they cannot just walk off happily. My traps have to be hidden under cupboards and behind places where the cats cannot go, because I , too, would not forgive myself for getting a cat hurt in any trap. However I don't think it is about what you put as food, but more of where you put that trap. If you find where they come and go, put trap right there so that they have to walk over it, that way they are caught.
Also with three wooden pieces and two or three mouse traps you could make such trap that mouse has to enter from one end and food would be at the center, so they have to walk over the trap to be able to get even near the food. That way they would be quite well outsmarted.
I have had also some success when I have tied cheese into trap, so when they are attempting to steal it, they rock trigger plate enough hard to launch the trap.
Problem with traps is that I can't use those same time with cats being around, they might get their paw into trap and that would of not be very good, I would not forgive myself of such accident.
LOL....."behaving like little cave people"......I don't know, that is just a cute visual. Maybe not for you, but on this side of the computer, it is. LOL
Hey, now, just "turn that frown upside down".....I always wanted to say that goofy expression....lol...

Yeah, thinking about it that's the only nice nick name they ever gave me. The rest well, I wouldn't want to repeat them either. I sure if I asked them what they would call me now they would come up with some crazy lady name :lol3:There was me assuming there was a cat called Gem, or Gems in your life somewhere GemsGem! In China there is over 100 mile long bridge that was finished at 2010, but longest bridge over water is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Pontchartrain_Causeway almost 24 miles long.Am I living under a rock or something?? Where in your world, , is there a BRIDGE that spans the ocean?? (this may come across as yelling but it is not...lol)
I must have missed this in the tourist brochures. HUH....I must get a new travel agency.:Airplane:
Oh when my son tries it it's cute. It doesn't last long and it's easy to ignore how he so pitifully lays himself out on the floor. I can stay amused at that! He never hits the pitches DD goes for sometimes. She didn't do that today; thank the Lord! And she asked to go lay in her bed a half hour early. I don't think she is sleeping; but I had my lunch in peace and I'm browsing some stores online looking for storage bins for toys. If she does sleep I might go for that power nap. I'm mentally tired today!

It might be quite close, but perhaps, speed has been picked up quite a lot recently, but I can't help much longer as I'm already seeing dreams with eyes open, must get to sleep I think. We've got less than 90 posts to go! Can we do it!?!
Oh. There are times I want to do that too.
Almost down to 80 posts, what are we all going to do when we get there? I remember having withdrawal last time.
On a recent thead there were some links to adverts we've had here in the UK: I don't know if anyone else has seen one, it's pretty old, where a kid starts to have a melt down tantrum in a supermarket and starts screaming and thrashing about, so the mom throws herself down on the supermarket floor and starts screaming too? I love that advert. As ever, I can't remember what the advert was for but it was good.:-D Always wanted to see what would happen if someone did that in a supermarket when I was in there and a kid started to scream.
I agree, it is more fun in the participation than in the actual competing. When I was in school, I had more fun in sports when actually just playing for fun, as opposed to playing other teams, because then it became too serious and the other players would elbow, trip and push. This was high school sports, not Professional League Sports. We did win a few trophies, but had some great moments when we lost too.Very much fun this contests, it is not the winning, but the fun in the progress
LOL,....I would slowly walk backwards, out the door. I'm hoping that the kid stops crying really fast, and that the commercial was not for any "junk food" product, candy or chocolate.

Wait, are you two planning on never speaking to the rest of us again....LOL....what kind of withdrawal is this? And yes I will probably have a little withdrawal. I'll probably get more work done around the house too. But then maybe not. ....
Oh I don't think there is anywhere to hide! Actually; TCS is one place I come to hide from the rest of my life. (DH is working late tonight.)
Are there even places to hide?
LOL...That all sounds great except for that "crazy" part coming over you and hand washing the dishes, except that I find sometimes handwashing is alot faster than loading and unloading. Now I'm sounding "crazy"...lolMy kitchen is mostly clean and a meatloaf is smelling good in the oven. I'm soo soo thankful for my dishwasher. Once this load is done I already have some things for the next load unless crazy comes over me and I decide to hand wash them. My kids are playing in the living room. Lot of giggling. DD has decided that DS is "the bad guy." I'm not sure what she is. If she is "catching" him or joining in? Mostly they are giggling and getting scolded for running ON the couch. Did I mention DH is working late? One more day till the weekend. One more day. I think we need to get out of the house tomorrow.
