Well, I think this is going to be my last post in the babble thread.  It's getting late, and my kitchen is still in shambles after our foray into plumbing.

Anne, this has been so much fun.  Thank you so much for your ingenious idea!

I can't wait to see how many posts we finally end up with!  Good luck everyone and congratulations to whoever wins!

So...we're getting closer y'all! Had to take a break from studying (workout doesn't count) and went out to see some friends. I wish I was into sports.

Why do you say you wish you were into sports? :)

Where do you get your l-Lysene from? I bought mine from the vet, but I'll need more soon, and the kitten won't touch the paste, as much as Matt likes it
I bought it from Amazon, I tried 2 different treats - one is called "Enisyl-F Lysine Treats for Cats", and the other is called " Pet Naturals of Vermont L-Lysine Fish-Shaped Chews for Cats".  So you have the paste, and not the pure powder?  I hear  good things about the pure powder, my only concern with the powder is that I hope it dissolves really well in a small amount of water.

We could compete for the smallest tub
My bathroom's so small even tiny people get wedged between the wall and the sides of the bath when they sit on the pan, and the bath is the narrowest shortest other than like a Japanese sunken bath I could get :-(  It's good in some ways as when I sit in the bath leaning back on the sloping end my feat are so neatly wedged at the other end I'll nevder slip down and drown if i inadvertantly fall asleap in there!
Not much chance of that either coz Mouse likes to perch on the slippery edges and periodically goes for a walkabout along the length of the bath- hard to relax when you think your cat's about to fall in.

I hope your fellow schoolies are not calling you a crazy cat lady already!
Ziggy, like all of our kitties, is worthy of endless chatter and adoration and anyone who doesn't agree is not worthy of attention....
After far too many years  I have come to the conclusion  that people who love kitties are the best people.
Ok yours is smaller!  The length of mine is average I guess; it's just so narrow!  I have to watch how much water I put in before I climb in or it'll overflow once I displace it!  I also pulled a muscle trying to get out last time because I couldn't figure out how to grip to get out.  Now I need to lose some weight; but I'm not THAT big.  If we ever move; I want a good soaker tub!!

When I was 8 or so my Mom and I lived in an attic apartment for a couple years.  When we first moved in the shower was the perfect height for me to shower under.  By the time we moved out both Mom and I were kneeling to shower.  And Mom is only 5' 3."

I'm thinking of going to Barnes & Noble tomorrow.  I like to go and look at their clearance books.  I can't walk in there without buying something.
Oh I love browsing there in bygone days!  We don't have a local one fortunately!

So my fosterling Sebastian had a vet check today and great news...... he gets to keep his eye!!!!!!!! Woohoo i'm so happy for him. He was such a good little kitten taking all his medications and letting me clean his eye. 3x's a day for  a month The infection was so bad, 3 vets felt his eye was going to have to be removed. Well we showed them *wink* I think he might be blind in that eye, but at least he can keep it. I love fostering. Miracles do happen.
The kittens are now 6 weeks old, eating kibble, and still nursing of course, no litter box accidents, kitten life is grand, and their hand shy scared momma is also doing better. She now comes up to me on her own.
Yay Sebastian!!  I'm glad to hear this!

Today was exhausting and I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted.  I need a new gameplan for tomorrow!

Everyone is signing off and I just got home from work. I was getting ready for some snuggle time with Peanut but my pants apparently don't have the correct smell today. No snuggle time for me. :(

Sorry that I haven't been adding much to the thread these past few days. I suppose this will be my last post before the deadline is up. Today I took Wessie to a local park, and he actually didn't freak out that much. After a few minutes he starting wandering around and exploring the area. It was fun, and I'd like to do it again sometime. Anyway, goodbye to the babbling thread!

One last babble. No mouse game tonight but Keg is not lost in a snowstorm. He is still on Byers Peak but no falling snow. Good luck to everyone and it is great getting to know all of you.

Why oh why do they ask THESE questions on nursing tests? It's obscure details that only happen on certain floors! Gah!

This contest started off so slow and now people are posting like crazy. I'll finally have time to go back and catch up on all the posts.

I'll be closing the contest in 15 minutes. I'm so glad people enjoyed it!

Don't worry about not hitting the 1000 post mark. Let's keep the chatter going in the other lounge threads. We used to have a daily "how are you doing" thread and we could definitely do that again!

We'll have more fun contests in the future, promise! And we can definitely have a re-run and try to get a 1000 posts thread going sometime.

Oh dear I thought the contest had closed so I stopped babbling. I'm waiting for kindergarten to finish and I'm wondering did I turn the stove off? I'm sure I did but I hate the way the mind plays tricks on you.

Good morning! We've almost reached the 700-post mark, which is nothing to sneeze at. One of my classes is going to Strasbourg today - they should enjoy that.

Oh yes I see we have a few minutes to go. Good morning jcat. Hope you slept well. I've just been reading about the weebles again. Very entertaining. Did anyone notice that in the google images there is a picture of two black and white cats? Strange but very appropriate!!
