Hello,
I had posted my issue with my cat's poop problem years ago on this site and there was one suggestion that seemed to make perfect sense as to what it was...but I can't remember what that suggestion was.
My cat Lily, since she was born (and is now 4) has bloody stools each time she goes. When she was a kitten it used to be very messy (diarrhea and blood and mucus) and now it has firmed up but there is still a fair amount of blood and mucus. Sorry for being so descriptive! She seems to be frustrated when she goes - she looks like the Tasmanian devil spinning around in her box when she has to go.
We took her to the vet a couple years ago and they did many tests which didn't help one bit. No worms or anything else. They kept wanting to do test after test after test - but our pockets are not so deep so we had to stop at one point.
There was someone who posted about a rare condition where the cat has the bloody stools and mucus and there is no cure for it really - it's just suppose to get better with age. Which it did get better, her stools are now at least firm. That's all I really remember about the condition. I was hoping someone would know the name of it. I'm going to the vet with her on Friday to see about it again and was hoping to bring up the condition.
Thanks in advance for the help!
