Anne's post about Spring Cleaning with the cats made me think........
I plan to start my spring cleaning this Saturday and it will probably take me a good 4-5 days to get it all done. I want to wash all the walls down, clean the carpet in the living room, clean the furniture, etc. Everything will get moved, cleaned, and put back in its place. I'm planning on cleaning out drawers, closets, cabinets, and my desk (I've learned to leave dear Richard's desk alone!). I'm taking down curtains and washing them and then rehanging them. Lemon oil on all the wooden furniture.
Then I'm heading into the basement to do some re-organizing down there. A good vacuuming. Cleaning out the freezers a bit....it's a good time for freezer cleaning as we've been eating from the freezers all winter and it's nice to get them cleaned out for filling them again this coming summer. Getting rid of basement cobwebs.....I hate cobwebs. All that good stuff.
I'd dearly love to paint the bedroom while he's gone, too, but I'm not sure I'm going to have time for that.
It's a good time to get stuff packed up for our summer yard sale, too. (I'm actually going to pack up some of my cookbooks for the yard sale!!! I think)
I think he's taking Clarence to the airport, so I'm going to have the truck at home.....good time for a trip to the landfill, too. If I don't get that done, though, Rick can do that when he gets home.
So.....spring cleaning anybody? Do you rip through the house with major cleaning after the winter?
