I am having a huge problem getting my kitten Popcorn to eat wet food.
My older cat Minion will pretty much eat any food that is put in front of him and he is on Taste of the Wild and 4Health dry food and Wellness wet food.
Popcorn is on Taste of the Wild and 4Health and eats it fine but refuses any wet food I have tried.
I have talked to my vet and it has been suggested to try a lower grade wet food such as Friskies or Fancy Feast.
I am a little hesitant to do this since pretty much any dry lower grade foods have given her diarrhea. I haven't tried a lower grade wet food yet.
The only wet food she has came close to "liking" is Blue but would only take 1/2 teaspoon before snubbing it until the next day. I tried getting her to like it for over 2 weeks with no progress.
I have been trying for 7 weeks to get her to eat wet food. I am not sure if having her since before she had teeth has anything to do with her pickiness or if she is just picky. She is 10-11 weeks old now.
The only thing "wet" she eats is she occasionally steals my dogs Fresh Pet Select food but that is definitely not going to help her along since it is dog food.
Any suggestions?
