    Cat advice

Nor does he care. Anyone that you associate with in your neighborhood that can speak the same language as the male cat's owner? This person really needs to be aware as much as the female's cat owner does.

    Cat advice

If you haven't already, at least let the female cat's owner know what is going on. If you know the language that male cat's owner speaks you could install and translator app on your phone so they know what is happening too. Besides getting one of them to take action, there is not much you can...

    Cat advice

Hi and welcome to TCS! Can you talk to the neighbor who owns the male cat and ask if something has changed, given that I take it this a recent change with hm coming over to your house? You can also consider setting two dishes out - one for each, but in separate locations. If there is a dish...

    The Right Balance

Hi. You can also try giving her some Applaws AND some of the James Wellbeloved in the morning and repeat at the evening meal - in separate dishes and/or mixed. If there is any chance that she just eats enough of her dry food throughout the day that she isn't really all that hungry for her second...

    Early ckd signs?

Hi. If I recall, this more or less all started when your Muggs died and Missy changed her behavior and became 'needier. Both cats were as you said 'no fuss', but that changed for Missy after Mugg's passing. From my interpretation, the two of you have been in a silent battle ever since over her...

    My kitten won’t eat breakfast

Hi, and welcome to TCS! A kitten at that age really should have food available to him around the clock. Not sure what you are feeding him and if that has any bearing on when he will eat and when he won't. How long have you had him? Have you recently changed food on him so that maybe he doesn't...

Help! Pawing at face and acting like in extreme pain

Hi and welcome to TCS, despite what brought you here. I'd have his mouth and teeth re-checked to see if anything was missed, if he may need some (more) pain reliever while he is healing, or if he needs more antibiotics to totally rid the infection. Is your cat by any chance FCV (calicivirus)...

Clingy old lady vs hiding cat

Maizie just needs to be able to get acclimated to her new home, a new caretaker, and other cats. I would suggest you devise an introduction plan using these TCS articles. Given Dottie's relatively calm reaction, it is just a matter of giving Maizie a safe space to get used to first. How To...

I think a lot of people could benefit from this book

Is there a summary, prologue, or something you could share that would give folks a bit of a clue about what all is in the book? I am sure there are folks who may feel they might be 'ready' to read such a book, and would benefit from knowing a bit more about it.

    Pet loss and grief

I appreciate the effort and sentiment. Will keep this bookmarkd for another day though - not ready to deal with it right now.

Clingy old lady vs hiding cat

How long have you had each of these cats? Did you ever go through any kind of introduction process with them? Are these indoor/outdoor cats? Much harder to deal with if they go outside because one or the other can always avoid the situation by going/staying outside.

Strange growth coming out of cat's nose

Thanks for the update! I was so hoping to hear something of this sort, and very glad I did!!

Is it okay for me to feed my cat Green Juju freeze dried beef as topper for every meal, daily?

Hi. I am not sure if there is any real redeeming value to giving a cat organize beets and carrots, or tumeric for that matter. I think the key is io use any treat in moderation, so if you are only using them in the true nature of a 'topper', I doubt there is any issue with giving them daily...

things escalating with my senior, Milo...yowling/confusion?

Get the hyper-T ruled out, but I am not sure that it is all that common to have howling with no other more common symptoms. The most common symptom of hyper-T is weight loss and next in line is ravenous appetite. My cat only had weight loss and no other symptoms. The next thing to check for is...

Poor Binx hides when it rains...especially if there is thunder.

Hi. I think you just have to let him hide. There are many cats that are scared of rain and thunder. It may not even have to do with anything that happened to Binx in his past. I don't think any of my cats liked thunder, fireworks, or any 'off' noises. Feeby, when she was younger always hid...
