The Detroit Red Wings have just won game three of their playoff series with the Colorado Avalanche to take a 3-0 lead in this best of seven, second round playoff series. A sweep would be most excellent. The rivalry has lost a lot of its luster from the nasty games and playoff series that these two teams had against each other in the late 1990's. There was a lot of bad blood between the teams.
