Hey!
So I just dropped my blue point Siamese cat off at the breeders yesterday morning. This is her 2ed trip there.
The 1st time she was a year and one month old and on her 4th heat. She was there for 7 days. And she did not get pregnant.

She has had 3 heats sense then and will be there for 14 days this time. We are really hoping for kittens this time!

I'm just wondering if any one else has have this problem before? Thank you!!!

How much experience do you have breeding cats?

Cats should not be bred before they are 18 months old.

Fourteen days with a stud is too long. A cat only needs to be with a stud for 3 days.

Do you have a mentor?

I thought two weeks was a super long time.

She is one and a half.

Who is advising you? Who owns the stud?

I would stop and do more research before taking her to stud if you do not have an advisor.

Also, has she had a comprehensive vet check up? Has the stud?

The lady has been breeding Siamese for 33 years. And I have all the paper work. With the studs pledge and registration. And obviously my cat is register as well.

Please do not leave your cat there for two weeks. It's much too long. It will be torture for your cat.

ok. I won't.
The lady said that my girl was being shy and it may take a couple days for her to warm up to him.
But i understand that two weeks is too long. I will pick her up way before.

I was just wondering if any know has heard of a cat being "shy" the 1st time, and having better luck the 2ed time.

Yes, this does happen. She is a little older this time and things should work out better. Is she in heat now?

Yes. She was in full-blown heat Friday night and she got dropped off Sunday morning.

The lady's cattery is Beautiful and the stud is very handsome and friendly. The women looked over all my cats pappers made sure everything was there and we signed a contract.
