Why do they do this? Older kittens still suckling

I have some older kittens that have been really close with this Black cat i have. She had 1 baby but it was dead an hour after being born, but after that she was super loving and maternal towards these kittens. She used to feed them when their actual mom kicked them off the teet but now they have grown up and almost as big as her and she STILL lets them suckle on her. Im not even sure she produces milk anymore. Is there a reason they do this and she allows it?? Lol. Is it a bonding thing that is just a habit now? It’s hilarious to see because how big they are but she doesnt mind it and they love eachother so much.

It’s fine as long as she allows it. It will end eventually! They are bonded.

Is this cat spayed? Are the kittens?

Yes they got spayed. Unfortunately the black cat had gotten pregnant before becoming an indoor cat and before her appointment so we had to wait until after she gave birth. The 2 kittens are boys and both got fixed.
They love each other so much she treats them like little babies even though they are slowly getting as big as her lol.
