Hello! I’ve been feeding between 3-5 cats for the last 3 years. Currently I’m down to 2 (mommy & daddy) + 1 kitten. Finally, after all this time I can pet them! I’m in the process of getting them all fixed but can’t afford that until I’m back to work. Anyways, “ I’m assuming the male “Rocky” has a respiratory infection (I can hear he’s very congested). Then to make it worse, he must’ve just got in a fight with another animal and definitely needs medication. A few days ago when I was feeding them , he was letting me rub his head (which you can feel so many scabs all over him) but as I’m petting him he was going to lay down basically in a small puddle. I was able to order an antibiotic (thanks to a lady from a local rescue), Keflex, which just arrived today. I also found that I had a bottle of Clindamycin from another cat that clearly I had no success getting him to take because the bottle is almost full. My question is: What one of those would be easier to get him to eat mixed in his food? Does anyone else have experience with both? There’s no way I can hold him to give it directly plus, yesterday when I saw him, the swollen lump on his head some how popped and it was bleeding. He didn’t look good at all so I’m hoping I even see him today so I can try to get him to take medicine. If anyone has any advice to offer it will be greatly appreciated!! I’ll attach pictures if I can figure out how lol, they were taken when I first noticed the big lump. Thanks again!
