i have felt movement from her kittens for 3-4 weeks now but she still shows no sign of giving birth any time soon. She hasn’t really shown any signs of nesting other than spending quite a bit of time sleeping on my bed, even though I have a nesting box set up in my wardrobe. Her genitals do not appear swollen at all, and her stomach is quite hard to touch. I was starting to get worried after reading how sometimes kittens can get too big to pass through the birth canal and result in a C-section but she doesn’t seem to be in any discomfort so I think I am just being paranoid. I thought you could only feel kittens moving 1-2 weeks before they were born so expected them to have arrived 1 or 2 weeks ago.

Do you know when she mated?

The best advice is to be patient since mom sounds like she is doing just fine. Let Mother Nature run her course.

A day or so before she goes into labor her milk will drop. Look for swelling in her teats.

Milk can come in up to a week before delivery, and some cats get milk after they deliver.
