Thought my girl, Vixey, was a spotted or mackerel tabby but the more i look online the more I’m curious about possibly ocicat or Egyptian mau, etc? Idk i could be way off here but I wanted to see what others thought. Vixey is super lovable, playful, long, jumps high, walks on a leash, follows us around like a dog, plays fetch, plays hide and seek, smart, likes to sit on our backs/shoulder, eats anything and everything. Any input is appreciated :)

She's adorable! You took some wonderful pictures of her, too :redheartpump:

I would describe Vixey as a brown mackerel torbie domestic shorthair. Torbie just means tortoiseshell tabby. You could also describe her tabby pattern as broken mackerel, since some of the stripes are broken up into spots. Broken stripes are frequently seen in mackerel tabby cats. Spots on the belly are a normal part of the mackerel and classic tabby patterns.

Egyptian Maus and Ocicats do not come in red-based colors (torbie is a red-based color). It's unlikely that she would have ancestry from either of those breeds, as they are rare. Temperament traits are not a reliable indication of breed ancestry... but it does sound like Vixey is a wonderful companion, and you are providing Vixey with a stimulating environment that nurtures her intelligence and enthusiasm for life... good for you! :)
