I know for medical malpractice cases that the claimant's attorney will not allow any one with hands on patient experience such as nurses on the jury. After sitting on a jury for a medical malpractice case I can understand that, I still believe that the doctor in that case was not guilty of negligence but his attorney was able to fool the necessary 6 out of 8. He did mainly with generating sympathy for his client. The other person who agreed with me had been a dietition at one time at a children's hospital and I have taken a medical coding and billing course and do that for a living. Even with the little bit of medical background that we had we could see through the claimant's non-case.
