Toxic Flowers?

Some friends surprised me with flowers today! I THINK they're gladiolus (based on google) and Timothy kept trying to chew them so I stuck them outside as apparently they're toxic.

Does anyone know? I would love to have them inside, but not if they're going to kill the cats...

i read someplace that most flowers will be toxic to cats . but i dont have the info here with me though

Those look like orchids to me.

Here is a web page with toxic flowers, Photos of Poisonous Plants and Flowers for Cats - 1st in Flowers! In general, other than Lily, if you don't leave flowers in spots a cat can nibble on them I don't worry about it too much. My cats have all been more interested in dried flowers so as long as I toss them when they start to wilt I don't have issue. Lily is one of those really bad ones so I just avoid them.

Oh I'm not sure. I thought they looked a bit more like gladiolus as they're close to the stem. I'll leave them outside to be on the safe side I think.
