The dinner party

I was a little concerned about my little friends, the Hummingbirds, yesterday. All day I only saw them at the feeders 1 or 2 at a time. I was afraid that they'd sensed bad weather or something and gotten out of town.

But, now I know what happened. They all went to a Hummingbird hoedown, or a dinner party; and they invited everyone here for a cocktail

I can't believe they're so sociable! Mine always chase the others off - if I see 2 hummingbirds, they're fighting over who gets to eat there. They even get territorial at ME when I'm out there trying to clean and refill their feeder!
