Okay, so I am helping someone out with their 3 day old kittens. The mama cat got hit by a car last night and ran off. My cat had kittens a couple of weeks ago, and is nursing them well with plenty of milk, so I offered to take them in temporarily to nurse and be stimulated. I've had them home for about an hour now, and I'm noticing orange poop. Rather than the brownish I see from my kittens. (I'll attach a picture of the orange poo) also 2 of the kittens are without a tail. It seems to be more of a birth defect than manx gene. (I was told Mom was a pregnant stray that was brought in) there is no nub where the tails would be, but almost like a little crater.

Thanks for caring for the kittens! This thread: Bright Orange Poop? talks about a similar situation. I would recommend taking the kittens to the vet to check for parasites. Bring a stool sample so that they can run a fecal float test.
