Stuff in Cats Litter Box

Just cleaned my elderly cats litter box. My mother started getting new litter a few months ago,its a type where urine clumps and hardens or something. At the bottom of her box where the urine has hardened there are small brown/reddish things. Looks similar to like mouse droppings or worse case insect eggs... I have a picture but I’m not sure if I can post due to it being taken in all the mess. Gross.
I can’t find anything on google and I’m worried if this is a big red flag or just due to something she ate and passed

Yes, please post the photo of what you were mentioning as it is hard to imagine the description and members may have the idea of what it is and may be able to help you answer your questions if you have the photo to show.

A picture would help. Also, post the type of litter. Some litters have granules in them that might be part of what you are seeing.
