What song would you dedicate to your cat/s?

Hmn that is a HARD question... I would have more than one!

Smelly cat by Phoebe B from Friends is the first one that pops into my mind but that is because he was just in the litter box and man does he have stinky gifts for me - so I will go with that. Poor Kismet.

Great question
. let's see.

I love to sing, and if they ever come out with an Americal Idol Any Age
, I will tryout....

Celine Dion - A new day has come - I sing to Pipsqueak in the morning
Celine Dion - Because you love me - to my three baby siblings

Jewel - My hands are small ( LOVE SINGING THIS ONE) to Magilla because she has such tiny paws...

I used to sing Somewhere Over The Rainbow to Winky years ago. It would make Winky crazy when I would sing it to her..... She would get made at the dogs for some reason.

I'm going to have to think about this LOL.

The only one I know right off the top of my head is Shelly's song. It's the name game song (the banana song), because we sing it to Shelly all the time. We kind up make up our own version, but here's an example:

Shelly, Shelly, bo-belly,
Banana-bana smo-smelly,
Fee-fi-fo-felly,
Shelly!

We just sing silly songs we make up as we sing them for each of them.

I lost 4 cats in the last 6 months and realized that I pick a dedication song to them as they cross. The lyrics remind me of their lives.

Bob Marley was easiest - he got Three Little Birds by his name sake Bob Marley. He was a very carefree cat and the lyrics totally fit his personality:

Don't worry a-bout a thing, 'cause ev-ry little thing gonna be all right.
Singing': "Don't worry about a thing, 'cause ev-ry little thing gonna be all right!"

Rise up this mornin'; smiled with the risin' sun.
Three little birds pitch by my doorstep
Singin' sweet songs of melodies pure and true; saying,
"This is my message to you-ou-ou.”

Eightball's was by the Tokens - The Lion Sleeps Tonight. In a way he was my little lion, but he was also somewhat stressed by life. I view sleep as being very peaceful, and his death brought him peace.

Oscar had a troubled life (schizophrenia). His song was by the Boomtown Rats - I Don't Like Mondays. The first line of that song drew me in: "The silicon chip inside her head gets switched to overload", which was exactly what was happening to the poor little guy.

I didn't have a song for Indiana Joan. I will need to ponder that one.

I will remain true to form and dedicate a song to each of mine as I lose them.

This is a hard, but fun question!

I'd have to say You Only Live Once by Yanni, because that song reminds me of when he was shot. The whole Dare to Dream album reminds me of him, because we played it over and over to calm him while he was recovering.
