skin lesion

Curious whether we should be concerned about a skin lesion present in a balding spot on the belly of our 8 month old persian / ragdoll mix. He does not seem to notice it. Don't want to take him to the vet if it is just something simple like a mole but want to take action if there is any potential that it is something worse.

It appears to be a nipple.

Yes, that is what it looks like to me too. If it is not, it is small and not blackish, so I would keep an eye on it and show it to the vet the next time you are in. Of course, if it grows or changes significantly, see the vet sooner. Just like us, cats get all kinds of blemishes, small noncancerous tumors, and fatty growths as they get older. Being as observant as you are, quick treatment would be had, good job!
