Hello!
So recently my daughter was diagnosed with ringworm, and the doctor said it could have possibly come from any pets. The only pet we have is a kitten, Virgo, who is 2 months old. He hasn’t shown any signs of ringworm — as he hasn’t been itching or shown any signs of it on his body: hair loss, lesions, etc...I just need help determining if this that he has on his ears is ringworm, or some sort of allergic reaction, mites, etc...

Your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you! ☺

You can use a black light to see if the spot glows in the dark. If it does, even the tiniest amount, then it’s ringworm. Or you can have your vet check,

Hi. Given your daughter has been confirmed to have ringworm, it would probably be best to have your vet check out your cat for it also. If your vet accepts pictures, you could send some to them, tell them your daughter has it, and ask if they think your kitty does too.

It might also be possible that the vet would let you bring your kitty in for a quick check with what they call a Wood's Lamp (specilized black light) and/or a check of the kitty's skin cells underneath a microscope. Both of these processes are explained in the ringworm article (see link below), and might be able to be done via an unscheduled vet visit.
