The actor, James Avery died on New Years Eve.

He is best remembered as Uncle Phil on The Fresh Prince.

Sad. only 68 years old. Thanks for posting that Natalie. I heard about it this morning on the Today show, but they didn't say why/how.

I was really sad when I heard about his passing.  I loved Fresh Prince (and still watch the re-runs!) and I loved his voice; distinct but soothing and warm.
