Hi,

We had 2 cats (female), both about age 8, who had lived together for years. They never particually got on but lived together peacefully. One of them went missing in december last year and has since been replaced with a resuce who is also about 8 (male).

The rescue cat gets on fine with the existing cat, they eat and sleep in the same room. We have had him for about 5 months now.

Today our cat that went missing nearly 9 months ago was found and have just bought her home. She is healthy and doesn't seem phased.

Any advice on how to introduce the cats with the change of dynamic would be appreciated! Thanks.

How wonderful that you got your cat back! I would treat her as a new addition and reintroduce her slowly to the others. I would also give her some time separated from the other cats to explore and reacquaint herself with her former home. This may make her less anxious about intros to the two other cats.
