  You have some great solutions to your problems! I pray that the co-worker's surgery goes well and s/he heals not only to feel better but to give you the badly needed time off. Thank you for keeping us updated. Your backup plans sound excellent but the private office plan would be awesome for you all.

I do hope that you do not rehome your kitties. I can assure you, you will regret your decision and will blame your husband for the rest of your married lives. The pain of rehoming is very real to me, and I regret it to this day. Please trust me when I say this. I speak from experience. I hope that your husband will learn to love your cats as you do. Please give it time.
