Reconcile weaning

Had anyone had the experience of weaning their cat off of Reconcile?

It's been a week since my cat has been off of it and she is very sleepy.

Hi! Have you had a chance to talk to your vet? Reading this, sleepiness is a side effect, but id call the vet just in case.

Hi. I agree about calling your vet, but I also remember reading that not only is sleepiness a side effect of the drug while being taken, it can also be a side effect from weaning. I suppose the duration of the side effect is probably in correlation with how long your cat was on the med, the dosage, and how long since the last dose was taken. I do believe I also read that it takes a long time for the body to rid itself of the drug.

When you say she was weaned off, I take that to mean you did a gradual reduction of the meds dosage over a period of time, presumably following the guidelines the vet gave you for doing so?
