Brazilian soccer legend Pelé dead at 82 (msn.com)

Wow, damn, time flies.

Full disclosure: When I was a kid in school, they made us take soccer in gym class, and I HATED it. I thought it was the dumbest thing after American football.

But, I had occasion to watch Pelé one day on the news, and damn, his movement was beautiful, and he got the job done.

He had colon cancer.

My husband told me he passed away and I couldn't believe he was 82. Definitely one of the greatest players of all time. In fact, he was the only player to win three World Cups.

My husband and I were fortunate to see him play once. It was near the end of his career but still enjoyable- even if he was on the opposing team!
