I realized I really did not want to cook on Christmas, so on Christmas Eve I left about 3 PM to find some food. I finally found a good barbecue place open and bought the 1 lb. deal. It came with a pint of cole slaw, 25 hush puppies and a small tub of sauce. It was great for Christmas. Delicious barbecue!

The best thing I had yesterday was a caramel apple pie. Well not the whole pie, just one piece. Darn it.

Roasted duck with maple bourbon gravy with soft bacon Brussels sprouts.


(And the mashed potatoes. Sucker for mashed potatoes)


Finished off with my drizzled chocolate kit kat cheesecake.

I had the traditional roast turkey; though we also celebrate Boxing Day here in the UK (which is more or less another excuse for a big Christmas dinner again, haha), and my aunt made the dinner for Boxing Day (for Christmas Day we went out to eat as there's more of us) and her pigs in blankets are to die for! She also made pocket sized cottage pie wrapped in a cheese blanket which was delicious too.
