Greetings! Happy Tuesday! :lovecat4:

What's the best euphemism for telling people that they're not the brightest light?

One of my old favourites from awhile back (One that I read in a much loved history book) is "If they had gunpowder for brains there wouldn't be enough to blow their own heads off"

And this one I recently just stumbled upon, apparently a common Russian euphemism - "Intelligent thoughts have always followed him, but he was faster"

I wouldn't necessarily use these, but you may be interested in a few euphemisms from my part of the world.. not very inspired, but very Australian.

A few stubbies short of a six pack.
This is a six pack of stubbies.

A few sandwiches short of a picnic.
Not the sharpest tool in the shed.
A few roos loose in the top paddock.

"The lights are on, but nobody's home."
"His/Her elevator doesn't quite make it to the top floor."
I've heard the gunpowder line somewhat differently occasionally, in that they wouldn't have enough to blow their nose.

"This one's looking to win the Darwin award..."

Couldn't pour water out of a boot with the instructions on the heel.
