HIYA! Wishing everyone a happy Tuesday!



Other than the colours of your own cats, what colourings are your favourite?


Of course, we all know that all are equally lovely and personalities are what shine through - so just for lighthearted sake



I am partial to ginger/butterscotch kitties, probably because my mom always really liked them so it sort of rubbed off on me!


And black cats, for many reasons. Plus if I ever get one, along with having two white cats, I can be really silly and say I have a reverse Oreo thing going on.


Russian blues, because of a dear cat named Jaws that I used to have.


And Black/White for another sentiment, since my first cat ever was that colouring. She was divine!

I've always though black and white was the best color for any animal.  I also love orange, calico, and tortoiseshell.

I LOVE colour points. I'm not picky with what colour the points are, but I just love the smooth light body and the coloured extremities. Even just white/cream coloured bodies and sparse calico markings are cute. I think I prefer the contrast on light coats.

I love orange coats, I think because that is the first cat I can remember having 50 years ago as a child.

Grey tabbies. The feline love of my life was a grey tabby. I have never forgotten her.

Complete gray.  They always looks so soft to me.

Tuxedo, long hair specifically.

Pure white, odd eyed.  My BF really wants one - in fact this was what we started looking for when we finally adopted Cocoa - who couldn't be further from that color.  I think we could make an exception to the 2 cat rule if we found one we really bonded with.

Black and white; similar to Rosiecac's Sophie.  I've never had one; I've had 1 black and white tuxedo (Mooch) and 2 Gray and white ones; but no black and white.

Calicos, lilac points, all black (especially if they have round features).

My mother's cat Olivia has a gorgeous coat; I just don't know how to explain it. She looks different from different angles.  She's mostly shades of gray; but has some orange in spots.  And on the top of her head it looks like someone splashed a drop of bleach on her in 1 spot.  It's like she's a mess, but a gorgeous mess.

I love black and white cats, also tortie's.  All black is beautiful too, I love the ones with black sleek and shiny hair, some of them look like panthers.  I also like orange kitties.  Calico cats are really very pretty with all those mixed colors, yep I love cats.

Except for my absolute love for blacks or tuxes... it would be these two....

The Siamese type points. My first actual cat of my own was a Siamese with chocolate points named Charlie.

My next is a tortie. I love the different prints on them. I've had several in my life.

I think I've had cats in almost every color I could think of.....Blacks will always be my true love.

Apart from tuxies and solid blacks, I love solid gray cats and dilute torties.

If I am being completely honest I will say pointed kitties, that is based on appearance alone.  I doubt that I ever have one unless I rescue the kitty myself like I did Patches.  It's my understanding that the pointed kitties are the most popular and almost always get adopted from shelters quickly.  When adopting from rescues or shelters I gravitate to the black kitties and the tuxies because they are so often overlooked by potential adopters.

Aside from black, I love tuxedos, but my all time fave has got to be Snowshoe Siamese, longer haired. Uh, everytime I have had one or some come my way, it's so hard to let them go!

I love all the colours but I'm with Winchester here. My absolute favourite is a grey tabby which is why I have a siamsee and a black and white street cat!

I love black cats.

We always had black cats when I was a kid as they were my dad's favourite. We always  took home their tabby or tuxedo sisters too, as my parents knew we would fight over who got to pet the cat if there was only one in the house.

At the moment I have black, black smoke, black and white, silver tabby, grey tabby, ticked tabby, tortoiseshell, torbie, lynx point, chocolate point and ginger and white.

I think I need either a pure white cat or a brown tabby to make up a complete set.
