My first name is ALWAYS misspelled! The normal spelling ends in ie...my mom knew I wasn't normal so spelled me ending in a y. I've only ever ran across 1 or 2 other y's in my entire life. (er... unique, yeah that sounds better.) Mom knew I was a unique character so that's why she spelled it with a y....

my full first name is an easy one, and no one mispronounces/misspells it. but i use a shorter version of my first name, and many people mispronounce/misspell it.

my last name is most times mispronounced/misspelled. so much so that i automatically say my last name, and then say it by syllables -- which always helps people.

Yep! My first name really is Margret, not Margaret, and I've been correcting the spelling for going on 60 years now. I once got a birthday card from my mother with my name spelled wrong!
