Another easy question for you this Thursday


What are your favourite accents from around the world ?



My favourites are the Australian and Irish accents

I would say Scottish and Irish....

Scottish and Jamaican. Also South African---it's like a mix of Dutch and British and African. . .really cool.

I think it would be what I have heard referred to as BBC English. Second would be Australian.

Southern American.. my friend is from the south and I just love to hear her talk, especially when she says "Dog".. too cute!

I never really thought about it. But I do notice if a person has an accent. I suppose we all do have one, just depends if we notice it or not.

Clearly I don't have an accent, but if I did, I guess my favorite would have to be that once since I can understand everything.

Scottish, Irish & English. Even though my heritage is German I'm not fond of German accents, or French either.

I've got a friend from the Ukraine and I just love her accent!

I also used to live next door to a pub in the UK where old Jamaican guys hung out. I could barely understand a word they said, but it sounded great.

Scottish and Irish. When I went to Canada, they even said I had an accent!

Scottish. I work sometimes with an engineer who is Scottish and he really has the Scottish burr; I could listen to that man for hours!

Australian, too. Jamaican is pretty cool.

I agree. Just because I live in the deep south, doesn't make me prejudiced.

Nigerian. I had a number of students from Africa (mainly Kenya and Nigeria), and the Nigerian accent somehow sounds "cheerful" to me.

i think accents are really fascinating! i love US regional accents, as well as British and Irish accents.
