MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

I’m only still awake because I crashed for a bit after dinner today.

What is your favorite holiday/special occasion meal?

I’m going to have to go with Lasagna or Baked Ziti. Especially if they have homemade sauce with meatballs and sausage on the side. I miss my grandma’s leg of lamb for Easter; but I do look forward to the pasta/cheese/sauce combination in hearty comfort food like that.

It would be a tossup between turkey with all the usual sides and standing rib roast. I prefer the leftovers from the turkey but then there is always more leftovers from the turkey.

My choice is always roast turkey but with richly tasting stuffing, otherwise...stuff it!

When Mum did the cooking it was Christmas dinner, a whole roast chook with roast potatoes and peas and gravy and stuffing, and a Christmas pudding to follow. That was long ago, and these days I don't have special meals or particular favourites.

Growing up my favorite birthday meal was chicken drummies. The chicken had a sticky sauce on top. I requested it every year on my birthday.
