We had to use fountain pens for cursive writing in grade school, an absolute nightmare for a lefty because you can smear the ink as you write. So the only way to do it is to curl your hand as you write so it stays out of the wet ink. All these years, no more wet ink, but I still write that way.

I have seen left-handed people writing that way. It is one of those things that registered enough that it is in my memory and now I know why.

I have seen them curl their hands but I thought it was more about seeing what you just wrote. I can’t imagine with a fountain pen. I’m going to have DS pick out some pens to try this year but no gel pens. They take too long to dry too.
