My BIL gave me a ton of canning jars the other year; I'm talking totes of canning jars! Most are pints (fortunately), but there were some quart jars in there, too. I use pint jars most often because it's just Rick and me and because most of what I do can (relish, a bit of pickles, my red onions with honey, Farmhouse Chutney, etc) adapt better to pints, rather than quarts. About the only thing I use quarts for is peaches. I really need to get down into the basement and sort through my stuff. And Rick wants me to get down and sort through my kitchen stuff, see what to keep, what to sell at a yard sale, etc. I really don't know why he's after me to do that as, well, when it's all said and done, I'm not going to get rid of any of my kitchen stuff! Blasphemy!
