Pregnant cat had tons of pink discharge.

Hi all,
A sweet kitty was dropped on a farm close to us and was pregnant. We have taken her in and her new name is Luna. We’ve taken her to the vet and they said kittens would be delivered very soon. Yesterday she had a lot of pink colored discharge for a few hours. Followed by some light yellow liquid. Since then she seems fine and isn’t progressing into labor. Was this the mucus plug? Should I expect labor soon?

I think labor is imminent. Pink discharge is typical in the days just preceding labor, and the mucus plug can be lost up to a week before, so your vet is correct. She’s very close!

I think she may be starting contractions. About every 10 minutes she gets uncomfortable and seems to push and pull her leg up. She then licks her self.
