Possible Anal Prolapse?

Last night I noticed my cat had a fleshy bump on his anus. He didn’t seem bothered by it but I decided I would call and make an appointment to be safe. Today after he went to the bathroom I noticed the bump was larger. I have an appointment in 2 days but I am afraid it will get worse. Does anyone have an idea of what this may be and if I should go to an urgent care instead?

Could also be a hemorrhoid. Vet's good idea.

Thank you for your responses! I took him to urgent care and the vet believes it is an abscess. He is on medicine now and if it doesn’t get better, he will be sedated and have it removed.

Good that he's in treatment. It's probably painful, too. Poor kitty.
