Pooping Out Of The Litter Box...

Hello everyone,

I'm new in the forum so I hope I chose the right place to write about this.
My cat is 8 months old and we neved had any problem with her and the litter box until now.
Lately she is likely to poo out of the litter box, always in the same corner and still in the bathroom. We moved the box to that corner with new sand and after that we found her poo in the place where the box used to be but still out of the box. She doesn't have any problem for peeing there as we never found it anywhere else.
The only thing is that we changed the sand brand which we were using before (even more expensive, but the same kind).
I am not sure if the only problem is the sand.

I hope you can help me as still we have 15kg of this new sand at home...

maybe two boxes? some cats like to poop and pee in different boxes. maybe get a second box, and even a small amount of the old litter and see if this helps?

We can try that, or mix it with the other one as well. What is strange for me is that change in her behaviour. It is already a week that she refuses to poo in the box. I am afraid that she continues doing that even if we take the old litter...
