My cat’s bowel routine for the past week has been to poop every other day, have regular poops for one day, and then back to pooping every other day again. I called the vet and they suggested restoralax which I put in her food yesterday and the day before yesterday. She had a bowel movement at noon after almost 48 hours with no BM. I noticed that it looked very wet and slimy. Could it be mucus or is it just more moist than usual because of the laxative? I’m pretty worried. Behaviour wise, she’s still eating, drinking, and peeing as usual. No lethargy noted. I’m taking her to the vet tomorrow.

Where do you think?
To me, it just looks like a loose stool. Probably the laxitive. Take a sample with you tomorow, idealy fresh but it should still be ok for an hour or two in a sealed plastic ziplock bag.

I agree. Probably a little too much Restoralax. It's hard to get the dosage just right. Believe me, been there.
