Poop everywhere

Hi there! My 17 year old ragdoll just had his anal glands expressed at the vet they were very full. He has ibs and has arthritis in his lower back area. Now he is leaking light brown fluid from his anal area. He is leaving spots everywhere! How do I manage this? He has already been on antibiotics and is on prednisolone to manage his ibs. He goes to the box but nothing comes out, he is not constipated the vet checked. What do I do!

Hi,
Can you help him stay clean? Clipping the fur on his backend will help, a hygiene cut is under the tail and down the back legs.

If you can, keep him contained in one room with pee pads/towels on the floor. Has he been eating?

Have you contacted the vet about this? Especially since it started after the gland expression.

Yes I'd wonder about calling the vet since it happened after the expression.
