I think my healthy 10 year old has been exposed to Oder Ban spray disinfectant/deodorizer and is somewhat responsive, yet not herself.
Has anyone had experience with that product who could point me in the right direction?
Thank you.

She did all of the things you asked about except for ingesting the product.

I agree with ipappy's comments above.

This is from LTS3 LTS3
Add the phone number for the free pet poison control hotline to your first aid kit:

Kansas State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital 1-785-532-5679

The more well known ASPCA poison control hotline charges a fee before they can even help you.

I sometimes use Odoban in the house. I use it on counters, and occasionally the porcelain stuff in bathroom.
Geoffrey never had an issue. I know it is advertised for cleaning animal cages and such..,

Please let us updated.

I’m not sure Odoban was to blame, and now I think I overreacted after reading the warning label on the bottle.
Her vet didn’t think it was the cause.
At any rate, Dee has gone on to her next adventure. She was sleeping next to me just before dawn, let out a scream, and was gone.

Yes, she died.
Seems like a very short ten years that we shared. Wonderful memories though.

If it was that sudden...I wonder if something else was going on. I'm so sorry to read this and sorry for your loss :(

I am so sorry for your loss. I am inclined to agree with the vet that you did nothing to cause this in the use of the product. A sudden passing like that is hard to understand although my personal opinion (having been there) is that this sounds like an unpreventable and unrecognized condition related to the heart. I hope that your memories of the life you had together will be of comfort.

When a cat passes, we lock the thread out of respect. You are more than welcome to post in our Crossing the Bridge forum with any thoughts or memories of Dee.
