My aunt sent me a kit for growing Paperwhites for Christmas. It had 3 bulbs. One got huge and obnoxiously tall. One barely sprouted. The foliage got obnoxious for the space too before the 2 that bloomed died off. Well the 3rd decided to bloom last week after the others were cut back. Apparently it STINKS. But only DH and DD smell it. DS and I do not. 
I've heard some varieties were bread for more blooms and those usually stink. Some smell good. None have smelled at all to me or DS. He was even on a stool with his nose right in the blooms and didn't smell much of anything. But DH is ready to chuck the thing outside on me. 
I guess the first didn't stink but I'll have to confirm that with him later.
