I attended the snowflake tea today that was being held by the the local United Church Women's Group and got to try Pina Colada Squares and boy were they ever tasty.
I tried of course to coerce the recipe from the lady who made them but she insisted that I had to order one of their recipe books that will be out in a few weeks..
These teas are a quarterly event put on to raise money for the church and I must say they are excellent fundraisers and a very enjoyable way to spend the afternoon.
For $5 you get tea and are able to sample numerous types of cakes, tarts, and squares baked by the group members.
My favorite of all of them is the Strawberry tea they have in July mainly because one of the ladies always prepares the best strawberry custard tarts in the world.
