Paw Markings? Need Advice

We just adopted a kitten and noticed this marking on his paw. Anyone know what it is? It doesn’t seem to hurt him and he’s not paying it any mind but we were just curious if anyone had seen this before.

Hi! That looks a bit like a callous/scab that grew over a wound? Or did he step in something sticky like pine tree sap and then walk around in dirt...?
Have you taken him in yet for his checkup and shots et al? Maybe the vet can tell you what that is

He is getting his next round of shots in 2 weeks and it doesn’t seem to be bothering him so we may just wait until then unless something changes.

On the small chance it could be fungal is there any way of sending the image to your vet? I'm glad it's not bothering your kitty! Did you ask the shelter or person you adopted from about it if it was very recent?

What litter does he use? Could it be clay litter cemented to his paw?

That's what it looks like to me. If so it should fall off pretty soon.

We adopted him just over a week and weren’t able to get in touch with the shelter. We’re planning on showing them tomorrow just to see if it is something new or if he had it when he was there
