Panting after vomiting?

My cat just threw up solid vomit. Afterwards she began panting and breathing heavy. We put her in a crate to stop her from hiding under our bed and keep an eye. She seems to have stopped the panting but has anyone else seen this? Could just be a random tummy ache, just haven't seen her breathe like that afterwards

Not sure what you mean by 'solid vomit', but guess you mean either undigested or partially digested food, with or without a hairball?
At any rate, the panting might be nothing more than the struggle to throw up. If she never breathes like that other times, that might be all that caused it. I know Feeby can sometimes heave pretty strongly, which I a would think could affect breathing, but I personally haven't noticed it. I think I will check next time she throws up, just to see.
