So, a few months back we noticed a hot spot by the base of our cat's tail. We took her into the vet and they weren't sure what was causing it, but they tested for a few skin diseases and had us try an anti fungal cream and put her on a flea treatment. Nothing seemed to work and now she seems to be over grooming it to where it is always bleeding. the times I catch her grooming it while she is anxiously waiting for her next meal. We have had a stray cat hanging around recently and also have been traveling a bit and we are wondering if it is caused by anxiety. But other than the hot spot she seems totally normal. Any advice? Also, maybe we should get her a cone? Any advice there? Thanks in advance.
