My 3 year old cat brought home a stray kitten. That’s what we thought but it seemed like the kitten followed my cat (outside cat). At first my cat would hiss at the kitten but he eventually stopped and started play fighting with the kitten. The kitten likes to play a lot and it’s always bothering my cat. But lately my cat would slam the kitty on the floor and wrap its paws around the kittens body and twist its neck. In a position that looks like he’s trying to break his neck. I don’t know what to do and I’m going to give away the kitten because they can’t get along. Help!

He is just playing and no, he won’t break the kittens neck. Often this play includes bunny kicks to the back while he holds the kitten by the neck. If the kitten was really getting hurt it would be screeching at the top of its lungs.

Please don’t give away your cats playmate!
