Nulo Wet Food Quality Control Problem?

I ordered a pack of Nulo Chicken and Duck wet food from chewy, and the wet food was black/dark brown color.

Did the brand change their formula or is this a pure quality control problem? Did anyone have that issue as well?

I originally thought it could be normal since the expiration dates for the cans stated 2023, but my cat ended up throwing up after eating..

Chewy was extremely helpful and gave me a refund. But I haven’t gotten any reply about the product’s quality control.
Although I do wish it’s just somehow “off” this time. My cat loves this food.
