oops - I don't know why this posted so many times but I wasn't able to delete the extras. Sorry for this.

But you'll discover that you will save a lot on your electricity bill each month. When we had the new unit put in (I think it was around 4 years ago), we noticed at east a $50 difference in the bill each month. Eventually it pays for itself.
That's what we're hoping, too. Unit actually belongs to SIS and BIL but I pay the electricity (2 room garage apt). They had to replace the unit for the main house last year.

I don't know what I would do without an air conditioner at night. Sweat to death in the night I guess. But do remember those elderly who don't have an air conditioner need a good fan so donate a new one to your fire station this week to help them. I do donate 2 fans each year.

I keep my AC at 74-75. . .I would actually prefer 76 because I hate being cold but I need to keep the humidity down or things get moldy. Ick. I hate humidity.
I rather be a little cold than sweaty when I'm asleep.
