New Treatment for Diabetic Cats

I read an AP article this morning about a new treatment for diabetic cats: pills instead of insulin shots. There are advantages and disadvantages, but it could be helpful for people who are skittish about giving shots. Max was so good about the shots (and they were so easy to give)...better than he would have been about being pilled, but I can see the appeal.

That is a very interesting breakthrough in the treatment of diabetic cats. My two diabetic cats, both former ferals, took insulin twice a day with no problem and pilling either of them would have been an issue.
