Hi there!
My name is Lo and today's my 27th birthday! Haha. On October 5th I brought home my two new furbabies! Binx (male, black DSH) is 7 and a half months old, and MacKenzie (female, diluted calico DSH) is 3 and a half months old. They are not related, but I adopted them from the same shelter. Binx was the only one left of his litter and MacKenzie was one of 6 who were just old enough to be adopted.
These are my babies! They are completely enamored with each other. Binx (who is neutered) has taken on a motherly roll with Kenzie (who is being spayed middle of January). He tries to carry her by the scruff all the time, and I have to stop him because he can't lift her, and she sometimes cries when he pulls too hard. He grooms her constantly. I've seen him pull her by the scruff onto their blanket so he could groom her. They always sleep cuddled up together as you see here. The blue blanket is their heated blanket and the red is my throw which was on my lap.
They're indoor only cats. I live in an apartment but I have balconies. When they are older I may allow them onto the balconies with screens or plexiglas across the bars, I haven't decided yet. They are not declawed, nor will they ever be. But I trim their nails once or sometimes twice a week (if my 2 year old nephew is coming over, I trim them right before that so he can play with them without getting accidentally scratched. (: )
